Sherburn Community Gymnastics Club (known as SCGC) is a welcoming, friendly and inclusive gymnastics club that truly believe that every individual can achieve their target goals through gymnastics; an exciting, diverse, energetic and worthy sport that is growing rapidly around the world!

We welcome all children and adults that wish to try something a little bit different. The club takes children from 8 weeks old and our current eldest trainee is 53 years of age so experience and ability is irrelevant to us.

As a rapidly growing recreational club, we currently offer fun for babies, free play sessions for babies and toddlers, preschool gymnastics, recreational gymnastics (which includes low level competitions), men’s artistic gymnastics (which includes lower and higher level competitions), women’s artistic gymnastics (which includes lower and higher level competitions), sports acrobatics (which includes lower and higher level competitions), adult gymnastics (competitions are an option if you would like to compete), freestyle gymnastics and display gymnastics (currently offered to aspiring gymnasts from our artistic gymnastic classes, and again competitions and displays around GB and on the World stage too). SCGC’s dedicated team of coaches, welfare officers, fundraisers and volunteers work tirelessly to create exciting opportunities for all that are associated with the club. If you choose the Club for your child we would welcome you to join our team in what ever capacity you can, which brings invaluable help to us and gives you a sense of achievement and fulfillment, along with making those social connections we all strive for.

The Club was awarded Charity status in June 2020 by the Charity Commission in recognition of the work we do within the community and has won numerous industry awards for Most Welcoming Gymnastics Club, Gymnastics Club of the Year – Yorkshire, and more besides.
